Identity verified
$39 a year
- For
- People who get impersonated online, or worry they might be
- We check
- Your government ID and a selfie, here on the page, or on a short call if you’d rather
- The mark says
- Identity verified, never the name on your ID
Verification
Check your ID in about two minutes here, or show us your business’s website is yours. Your mark goes up once it passes.
You sign in first, then pay. You pay by bank transfer from your own bank’s app, in US dollars, for the price with no tax added. We match it by its code, usually within minutes of it landing. It covers one year and doesn’t renew by itself. If we can’t match your ID or registration, you get a full refund. How refunds work

Checked against a government ID
Identity verified is for a person and Business verified is for an organisation. Neither adds features: they’re all free.
Once a year. The ways to pay are just below.
Your ID and a selfie, here, in about two minutes, or a short call if you’d rather. A business shows us its website is its own.
It goes next to the name on your page, whatever name you use there.
You pay by bank transfer from your own bank’s app, in US dollars, for the price with no tax added. We match it by its code, usually within minutes of it landing. It covers one year and doesn’t renew by itself.
Right after you pay, you can do it here in about two minutes. You photograph your government ID and take a short selfie, and the check matches your face to the ID. If you’d rather talk to a person, you can book a short video call on Google Meet instead. It isn’t recorded.
You show us the business’s own website is yours, with a code we email to an address there, a DNS record or a tag on the home page, and its home page links to your page (or your page uses that domain). With no website of your own, or with a shop on a platform’s shared address, a person looks up your public registration record instead. The mark isn’t a review of what the business sells.
Your page can use any name you like: a stage name, an alias, the name people know you by. The check reads the name on your ID and keeps it privately, and your page keeps the name you chose. Nobody sees it unless you book the call instead, when only the person doing your check does. It’s stored encrypted, and it never appears on your page, on your mark or anywhere public. It’s never sold, and we only hand it over if a court or the law makes us, telling you first unless the law stops us.
Once you’re signed in, you can add it here before you pay.
For an identity check, Didit reads your ID and your selfie for us, and we never keep your ID’s number. What we keep is whether you passed, the date, Didit’s reference for the check, and the name on your ID, encrypted and shown to nobody. If your page has an 18+ section, your date of birth is used only to confirm you’re 18 or older, and it isn’t kept. When your check is decided, we ask Didit to delete your ID photo, your selfie, the face data and the check’s results. If Didit hasn’t confirmed it, we ask again every night. We never download or keep the pictures. For a business, we keep the website it proved, which way it was proved and the dates we checked, and we look at the website again a year after it last passed. A code we email is kept only in a scrambled form for 15 minutes, and we don’t keep the address it went to. If we have the name on your ID, we keep it encrypted while your check is current and delete it 30 days after the check ends, within a day of a refund if your check doesn’t pass, or 30 days after you saved it if you never buy a check. You can delete it yourself at any time, and it goes when you delete your account.
The mark sits next to your name, at the same size as the text. Anyone can tap it to read how our checks work.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, by the water.
portage.camp/@yourbusiness
Business verified on a phone. It’s the same mark, just smaller.
Links confirmed
Links confirmed is free. Your page gets it once the profiles you list link back to it.
The mark is also on the five pages we run ourselves: @cadenic, @playdeltav, @playdeltavspace, @scorebug and Wyatt’s own page, @wyattmcph. On those, it tells you the page really is ours. Wyatt McPherson built Portage and runs Cadenic Studios.
