Live status

Show when you’re live, right on your link in bio.

People tap your bio link while you’re streaming and land on a list of links. Now they land on a page that says you’re live, with the way in at the top.

Free on every Portage page, with every other feature. Nothing to upgrade to.

Benji Nguyen, an example creator, live on TikTok. The card sits at the top until his time is up. Open the page

Two ways to say you’re on.

  • A live badge that checks itself

Add your channel as a link and we check about once a minute. The badge appears when you go live and goes when you stop.

  • A Live now card for anywhere

Streaming somewhere we can’t check? Flip Go live in the editor, pick where and for how long, and a card sits at the top of your page until then.

  • A scene that lights up

Live Room’s LIVE sign and On Air’s sign light only while you’re live, so even the landscape knows.

Where we can check for you.

These are the platforms this site can check right now. For anywhere else, the Live now card does the same job by hand.

  • KickA badge that checks itself
  • YouTubeA badge that checks itself
  • RumbleA badge that checks itself
  • Anywhere elseThe Live now card, with one switch

Set it up before your next stream.

Start a streamer’s page

  1. Add your channel as a link.

Paste your channel’s address. The editor recognises it and turns the badge on.

  2. Or flip Go live.

For anywhere else, the switch at the top of the editor puts up the Live now card.

  3. Stream as usual.

The badge and the card come down by themselves. There’s nothing to remember afterwards.

What it can’t do.

  • The badge can take a minute or two to appear after you go live, because we check about once a minute.
  • We can only check platforms that give us a way to ask. For the rest, use the Live now card.
  • It doesn’t play your stream on the page until someone presses play, so nothing loads from the platform on its own.

Questions about going live.

Do I have to sign in with Twitch for the live badge?
No. Add your channel as a link however you signed up, and the badge works.
How quickly does the badge show up?
We check about once a minute, so it usually appears a minute or two after you go live and goes soon after you stop.
Does the live badge add a cookie to my page?
No. The check happens on our side, and your page stays free of cookies.
Can I show my schedule too?
Yes. A Schedule row shows your week in every viewer’s own time zone, right under the live badge.

Turn bio taps into viewers.

Pick a handle and your page starts with your channel at the top and the live badge ready.
