Portage for hair stylists and barbers

Your chair, your prices and your next opening, on one link.

Your page lists your services with their prices, says whether you’re taking new clients, and puts a cancellation at the top the minute it happens. Booking stays in the app you already use.

  • A cancellation at 3:15 goes to waste

Post it at the top from your phone: “Cancellation at 3:15 today”. It comes down by itself when the time’s up.

  • Walk-ins want to know if we’re open

Add your hours and the page says open now and until when. In Barbershop, the pole only turns while you’re open.

  • Clients forget the aftercare

Write your colour or lash care on your page and print it as cards for the chair, with a code that brings them back to it.

Every feature here is free, on every page, and no booking or deposit ever goes through yours.

A barber, a colourist and a lash studio.

We made all three up. Red River Barber Co. cuts in Winnipeg, Willa Marchetti does colour by appointment in Vancouver, and Hollis Lash & Brow is two artists in Saskatoon. We made all three up. Start from any of them.

What stylists and barbers ask us.

Can clients book through my page?
Your Book button goes to the booking app you already use, so your calendar, your reminders and your deposits stay where they are. Nothing is paid on your page.
Can I post a last-minute opening?
Yes. Right now puts one line at the top of your page from your phone, like “Cancellation at 3:15 today, book it below”. Pick how long it stays up and it comes down by itself.
Do I have to show my prices?
No. Every price is words you write, so a number, “From” and a number, “Ask me” or nothing at all are all fine. Each service can say how long it takes, too.
Can a salon with a few stylists share one page?
Yes. Keep the salon’s hours and services at the top and link each stylist’s own page, or give each one a heading with their own Book button. Every stylist can have a page of their own for free.
Is it really free? What’s the catch?
No catch. Every feature is free for everyone. You only pay if you want an identity or business check, Unmarked to take the Portage credit off a business page, room to look after more than ten clients’ pages from one account, or custom work from the studio. None of those adds a feature. Every free page has a small Made with Portage line at the bottom, ours included, and your page never comes down because you didn’t buy something.

Send every “are you booking?” to one link.

Put it in your bio and on a card at the chair, and let your page answer “are you booking?”

Use letters, numbers, hyphens or underscores. You can change it later.

Every feature is free. See what costs money
