What if my child misses a lab?

There’s a make-up lab every second Thursday at lunch. They can also do the write-up from the video.

How can I see their marks?

Through the school’s own parent portal. Nothing about any student goes on this page.

    Can I email you?

Yes, through the school address. I answer within two school days.

Families ask when I’m free

Add your lesson times or office hours once. Each family sees them in their own time zone, with weeks off marked.

Put them behind a password you give out in class. The address isn’t in your page until the password’s right.

  • Exams are coming

Count down to the day on your page, with what to bring underneath.

  • Parents ask the same questions

Answer them once: what to bring, how to cancel, what happens on a snow day.

  • Nothing should track my students

Your page sets no cookies and loads nothing from ad networks. Its stats count visits without knowing who anybody is.

Every feature here is free, for every teacher and every school, and nothing on your page tracks anybody.

How these work, step by step: stats without cookies and password and age locks.

A classroom, a piano studio and a tutor.

We made all three up. Room 214 is a grade 10 science class in Red Deer, Bellwood Piano teaches in a front room in Guelph, and Élise Martin tutors French online from Moncton. We made all three up. Start from any of them.

What teachers and tutors ask us.

Is it all right to share with students?
Yes. Your page sets no cookies and loads nothing from ad networks, so a student opening it isn’t tracked. Its stats count visits without knowing who anybody is, and there’s nothing for anybody to accept.
Can I keep some links for my class only?
Yes. Put a link behind a password and give it out in class. The address isn’t anywhere in your page until the password’s right.
Should I put students’ names or photos on it?
We’d say don’t, and nothing on the page needs them. Name the class, not the children, and keep anything about a student in your school’s own systems.
Can I share handouts?
Yes. Upload each one as a PDF and it’s cleaned on the way in: anything hidden in the file, like whose computer made it, comes out first. Swap it whenever the unit changes.
Is it really free? What’s the catch?
No catch. Every feature is free for everyone. You only pay if you want an identity or business check, Unmarked to take the Portage credit off a business page, room to look after more than ten clients’ pages from one account, or custom work from the studio. None of those adds a feature. Every free page has a small Made with Portage line at the bottom, ours included, and your page never comes down because you didn’t buy something.

One link on the board for the whole term.

Put it on the board, in the course outline and in your email signature.

Use letters, numbers, hyphens or underscores. You can change it later.
