Independent software studio

Digital Craftsmanship. Built in Canada.

Cadenic Studios is an independent software studio, based in Canada. We design and build web applications, growth engines, native mobile apps and headless storefronts, and we ship and operate our own two products, Scorebug and Delta-V.

Four things we built, shipped, and run today

Two products in the hands of real users, and the two sites that sell them. The studio designed and built all four, and runs all four in production today. Every figure below is checked against the shipped build, the store listing or the repository it came from.

Scorebug

A chronicle for the games you actually watched

Scorebug is a sports chronicle app: it turns the games you watch into a permanent, searchable personal record. Nineteen leagues, live scores, a private log with photos and ticket stubs, and a season history that reaches back to 2002.

Delta-V

An orbital odyssey: build the ship, then fly it

Delta-V is a physics game about gravity and momentum. You assemble a spacecraft from roughly 580 parts, then fly it through 100 hand-tuned and generated levels. There are no forced interstitials. The only ads are ones you choose to watch.

getscorebug.app

A marketing site that is mostly generated

getscorebug.app is Scorebug's marketing site: fifteen route files that generate more than two hundred pages. Nineteen league pages, one hundred and fifty-four club gear pages and forty-seven rivalry pages are written once and produced from data, and the whole site's launch messaging turns on a single switch.

playdeltav.space

A live console for everything leaving Earth

playdeltav.space is Delta-V's companion site and the studio's heaviest data build: live launch countdowns, the position of the International Space Station updated continuously, real-time distances to every planet, a registry of sixty launch vehicles, a year-round almanac and a headless Shopify depot.

02What we do

The range is in what every service gets hired to build.

Portals, booking systems, dashboards, internal tools, field apps, configurators, storefronts and the pages that go and find an audience for all of it. That is 37 kinds of project across five services. Everything the studio sells, it has built for itself first, and the growth half rests on more than ten years of building marketing and revenue engines, work that started long before the studio did.

  1. 01

    Web & Application Development

Cadenic Studios designs and builds web applications on a typed Next.js and PostgreSQL stack, deployed on infrastructure the client owns. That means customer portals, booking and scheduling systems, dashboards, internal tools, marketplaces and SaaS products.

    How this works

    Proof: See Scorebug

What it gets hired to build

    • Customer portals and member areas
    • Booking, scheduling and reservation systems
    • Dashboards and reporting tools
    • Internal and operations tooling
    • Marketplaces and multi-tenant products
    • SaaS applications with subscription billing
    • Content platforms with a real editing workflow
    • API integrations between systems that were never meant to talk
  2. 02

    Growth & Revenue Engineering

Cadenic Studios builds the machinery that brings people to a product and turns them into revenue: programmatic pages at scale, search and answer-engine optimisation, conversion instrumentation, email, and affiliate or partner commerce.

    How this works

    Proof: See getscorebug.app

What it gets hired to build

    • Programmatic page generation from your own data
    • Technical SEO: schema, sitemaps, canonicals, Core Web Vitals
    • Answer-engine optimisation for ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews
    • Landing pages and campaign infrastructure
    • Conversion tracking and revenue attribution
    • Lifecycle and transactional email
    • Affiliate, partner and referral systems
    • Local and multi-location search presence
  3. 03

    Native App Development

Cadenic Studios ships native mobile apps to the store and keeps them there: submission, signing, subscription billing, staged rollout, crash reporting and the release cadence that follows.

    How this works

    Proof: See Delta-V

What it gets hired to build

    • Consumer apps with accounts and subscriptions
    • Companion apps for an existing web product
    • Field and operations apps for a working team
    • Loyalty, booking and ordering apps
    • Offline-capable apps that sync when they can
    • Store submission and rescue of a stalled listing
  4. 04

    Headless Commerce

Cadenic Studios connects Shopify to a storefront built entirely to your design, so merchandising stays where your team already works while the buying experience stops looking like a theme.

    How this works

    Proof: See the Delta-V depot

What it gets hired to build

    • Custom storefronts on an existing Shopify catalogue
    • Brand and merchandise shops for a product or creator
    • Product configurators and made-to-order flows
    • Subscription and membership commerce
    • Digital goods and licence delivery
    • Migration off a theme without losing the catalogue
  5. 05

    Discord & Community Engineering

Cadenic Studios builds Discord servers, bots and applications that do a job: a server laid out and permissioned from a script, a bot that answers from your own live data, and a page on your domain that ranks for the people searching for it.

    How this works

    Proof: See the Scorebug bot

What it gets hired to build

    • Discord bots that answer from your live data, not canned replies
    • Slash commands with autocomplete, and answers only the asker can see
    • Servers built from a script: categories, channels, permissions, roles
    • Onboarding, rules screening and the welcome a new member actually meets
    • Automated posting from your own systems into the right channel
    • Role sync and account linking between Discord and your product
    • A permission model that survives a leaked token
    • A community page on your domain that ranks for your name plus ‘discord’
    • App Directory listing: description, tags, policies, review readiness

03How we work

We run the whole lifecycle, because on our own products we have to.

There is no hand-off to a second team at the end of a Cadenic build. The people who design the schema are the people who answer the store-review email, so a decision made in week one is made by someone who will have to live with it.

  1. 01

    We ship what we sell

Scorebug and Delta-V are our own products, in production, with real users. That means we carry the parts most studios hand back: signing keys, store review, subscription entitlements, staged rollout and the maintenance that begins the day after launch.

  2. 02

Data rules belong in the database

Scorebug's photos and ticket stubs sit in a private bucket, reachable only through signed URLs. What counts as public and what counts as private is enforced by Postgres row-level security policies, one layer below any client code, and that policy surface has been through a dedicated hardening pass. A rule you can only see in the interface is not a rule.

  3. 03

    Monetisation is a design decision

Forced interstitials are disabled in Delta-V by policy. What ships is opt-in rewarded video and menu-screen banners, so an ad can only ever appear where the player chose to be. A dismissed ad pays nothing. That was once a subtle truthiness bug; a test covers it now.

  4. 04

Tests for the tuning, a runbook for the handover

Delta-V's balance is checked by an audit suite that lives in the repository. Every run models the economy, plots the difficulty curve and asserts the purchase invariants. Client work ends the same way: CI, preview deployments and a runbook your own team can operate without us.

05Questions

Straight answers, before you get in touch.

The answers a search engine reads on this page are the ones printed on it, because both come from the same list. Questions about the studio, the services and starting a project are answered on those pages.

What has Cadenic Studios built?
Cadenic Studios built Scorebug, a sports chronicle app covering nineteen leagues with a Supabase backend, live on the web with an Android build in closed testing; and Delta-V, a spacecraft-building physics game with roughly 580 components and 100 levels, live on Google Play.
Does Cadenic Studios build for clients as well as for itself?
Yes. Client work is the studio's business, and the products and websites it runs are the evidence for it. Everything Cadenic Studios sells it has designed, built, shipped and operated for itself first. A client project runs the same lifecycle end to end, with the people who started it still on it after launch.
Is the work shown on this page live?
Yes. Delta-V is on Google Play, Scorebug is live on the web with an Android build in closed testing, and the two websites the studio built for them are in production. The altitude and speed readout near the top of this page is served live by an endpoint on playdeltav.space, one of those sites.
