Beacons and Portage
What costs money on Beacons, and what’s free on Portage.
Beacons has a free plan with scheduled links and email sign-ups, and charges for Creator, Creator Plus and Creator Max, which add your own domain, take its logo off and take the fee off what you sell. On Portage, every page feature is free.

Beacons’ prices are in dollars, as its pricing page shows them. The page doesn’t say which dollars. On Portage, prices are in Canadian dollars. Any sales tax is added at checkout. A bank transfer is in your own currency (US dollars, pounds, euros, Australian dollars or New Zealand dollars), at a fixed price in each with no tax added, and the page for each extra shows the price where you live. Checked on on Beacons’ own pages. Prices change, so open the sources before you decide.
Beacons’ help centre still lists Creator Max at $90 a month or $900 a year. Its pricing page, quoted here, says $100 and $1,000.

What people ask
How much does Beacons cost?
Beacons has a free plan. Creator is $10 a month or $100 a year, Creator Plus $30 a month or $300 a year, and Creator Max $100 a month or $1,000 a year, as its pricing page shows them. That’s from Beacons’ own pages on 21 October 2026, and prices change, so check there before you decide.
Is Portage really free?
Yes. Every page feature is free for everyone. You only pay if you want an identity or business check, Unmarked to take the Portage credit off a business page, your page on a domain you already own, custom work from the studio, or, if you look after more than 5 clients’ pages, the Agency plan. One organisation running 10 or more pages of its own can choose Enterprise. There’s no trial, and you never need a card to make or keep your page.
Can I bring my Beacons page to Portage?
Yes. The guide at portage.camp/from/beacons has the steps on a phone and on a computer. You see your page rebuilt on Portage before you sign up, and nothing goes public until you publish.
Do the people who follow me need to do anything?
No. Once your Portage page is published, you swap the link in your bio for your portage.camp address, and everyone who taps it lands on your new page. Your old page can stay up for as long as you like.
