Enquiry form

A contact form on your link in bio, so enquiries arrive with the details.

Free on every Portage page. Nothing to upgrade to.

Golden Hour Sound, an example DJ, with a form made for this page. Open the page

Every enquiry with what you need to answer it.

  • Questions you pick

A date, a budget, a size, a link to references or a service from your own list. Tick the ones you need, and people can skip any of them.

  • Straight to your inbox

Each message is emailed to you, with their address to reply to. It waits on your numbers page for 30 days too, then it’s deleted.

  • No puzzles to solve

There’s no CAPTCHA. A hidden field, a short wait and a limit on how many can come from one place keep scripts out.

A tattoo artist, a photographer and a woodworker.

Each form is in its own page’s colours, asking that person’s own questions. The pages are examples.

  • A tattoo consult, with a size and references, from Isla Brennan
  • A photographer checking a date, from Northlight Portraits
  • A woodworker’s custom orders, from Alder Works

Setting up your form.

Make my page

  1. Add an Enquiry form row.

It asks for a name, an email or a phone number, and a message from the start.

  2. Tick the questions you need.

Add your services if people should pick one, and change the button’s words if you like.

  3. Answer from your inbox.

Reply to the email and it goes straight to them. Your numbers page keeps a copy for 30 days.

What the form doesn’t do.

  • It doesn’t take payments or deposits. Put a link to wherever you take those in the row under it.
  • Portage sends a set number of emails a day for everyone. On a very busy day an enquiry can wait on your numbers page without an email, and the page says so.
  • Messages are deleted after 30 days, so copy anything you need to keep.
  • People can’t attach files. They can paste a link to their pictures instead.

More about the enquiry form.

Where do the messages go?
To the email address you sign in with, with their email address to reply to. Each one also waits on your numbers page for 30 days.
Can people use a phone number instead of an email?
Yes. They leave whichever they’d like a reply on, and at least one of the two.
Can my commissions board use it?
Yes. Tick the box on your commissions board and its Request button takes people down to your form.
Does it work in French?
Yes. On a page set to French, every word Portage adds to the form is in French. Your heading is in your own words.
