Events and tour dates

Your tour dates on your link in bio, kept up to date by your calendar.

Paste the public link to the calendar you already keep, and every show you add there turns up on your page. Last month’s dates take themselves off.

Free on every Portage page. Nothing to upgrade to.

What the dates row does.

  • Typed, or from your calendar

Type a few dates, or paste the public address of a Google, Apple, Outlook or Bandsintown calendar. Both can sit in one list.

  • Never out of date

We read your calendar again about once an hour, and a date that has passed comes off the page without you doing anything.

  • A ticket link on each

Each date can have its own link, so “Regina, 26 November” goes straight to the tickets for that night.

  • Dates search engines can list

Each date is described as an event in your page’s data, with the venue’s address and the ticket link when you’ve given them.

Markets, quiz nights and races.

Dates rows from three example pages. A list can stop after a few dates with a link to the rest.

  • A printmaker’s market days, from Oxide Print
  • A pub’s quiz and music nights, from The Kettle & Gull
  • A running club’s races and socials, from Hill Repeats

Getting your dates on.

Start a page with your dates

  1. Add an Upcoming dates row.

It’s in the block picker. Give it a name, like the tour’s.

  2. Paste your calendar, or type.

In Google Calendar, the address is the Public address in iCal format in the calendar’s settings. Or type each date, place and ticket link.

  3. Choose how many show.

A long calendar can list the next five with a See all link after them.

What the calendar part won’t do.

  • We only read your calendar. Nothing on Portage can add, move or delete anything in it.
  • Entries marked private, and cancelled ones, are left off your page.
  • A change in your calendar can take about an hour to reach your page.
  • We don’t sell tickets. Each date links to wherever you already sell them.

Questions about events and tour dates.

Can my link in bio show tour dates from Bandsintown?
Yes. Paste your Bandsintown calendar address into an Upcoming dates row, and your dates are read from it about once an hour, as they are from a Google or Apple calendar.
Do I have to delete old dates?
No. Once a date has passed it comes off your page by itself, whether you typed it or it came from your calendar.
Which day does a visitor in another country see?
A date from a calendar that names its place keeps that place’s day, so a show on the 4th is on the 4th for everyone. A date typed without a place is shown on the visitor’s own clock.
Can fans hear about a show near them?
Yes. An email sign-up can ask which of your upcoming towns is nearest, and you see how many people are near each one.

Let your calendar keep your page.

Paste it once, and every new date lands on your page on its own.
