App store link

One link for the App Store and Google Play.

Put one link in your bio, your press kit and your launch post. The Get button sends iPhones to the App Store, Android phones to Google Play and computers to your web app.

Free on every Portage page, with every other feature. Nothing to upgrade to.

What the app card does.

  • One button, the right store

The card works out the visitor’s device in their own browser and points Get at the store that fits. Every other store is a tap away under it.

  • Filled in from your listing

Paste your App Store link and we fill in the icon, the price, the category and your latest release notes. You can change any of it.

  • Honest about where it’s up to

Mark each store as available, in beta, on a waitlist or in development. A full or closed TestFlight beta says so in words, so nobody taps into a dead end.

Ready before your build is.

Start an app’s page

  1. Add an App row.

Paste your App Store or Google Play link, or type the details if you haven’t launched yet.

  2. Check each store.

Say which stores it’s in and where each one is up to. Add your support email and privacy policy.

  3. Share one address.

Put your page in your bio and your press kit, and the #support address in both stores’ listings.

Your support URL, sorted.

App Store Connect and the Play Console both ask for a support address. Add a support email, a help page and your privacy policy to the card, and give them your page with #support on the end.

An app card with its support details, from Lumen

The address to give both stores

portage.camp/@lumenmeter#support

  1. In each store’s listing, paste it where you’re asked for your app’s support address.
  2. On your page, the address opens straight on the card’s support email, help page and privacy policy.

Where it stops.

  • It’s a link, not a store. People buy and download in the App Store or Google Play, never on your page.
  • We read your App Store listing when you paste it. If your price or your notes change, paste the link again or edit the card.
  • It isn’t a deep link into your app. It opens the store page, which is what a new visitor needs.

Questions app developers ask.

Can my Portage page be my app’s support URL?
Yes. Add a support email, a help page and your privacy policy to the app card, then give App Store Connect or the Play Console your page’s address with #support on the end. It opens right on your support details.
How does the Get button know which store to open?
The visitor’s own browser works it out from the device it’s on. iPhones and iPads get the App Store, Android phones get Google Play, and a computer gets your web app if you have one, or the list of stores.
Can I show more than one app?
Yes. Add an App row for each one. A studio with three apps gets three cards, each with its own Get button.
Will it show my TestFlight beta?
Yes. Add your public TestFlight link and the card says whether the beta is open, full or closed, checked once a day, so people know before they tap.

One link for launch day.

Pick a handle and your page starts with the app card, the support details and a launch list ready to fill in.
